Meet Amy

Chef Amy Zerwas, our new Pastry Chef at the St. James Hotel, always knew what her future held.  From working away with her easy bake oven as a child, to completing her A.A.S in the culinary arts, she found a passion for pastry over savory early in her career. Amy’s philosophy is that flavors and textures are what make her plates stand out, not complex technique or culinary sleight of hand.  She is a driven perfectionist, unafraid to speak her mind and let her personal style shine.  Amy credits much of her success to the strong, talented women who have mentored and inspired her through the years; especially Chef Jo Garrison, Chef Jessica Becker, and Chef Jametta Raspberry.  From these accomplished chefs, she learned that her culinary strength lies in her knowledge, drive, talent, and backbone.  Amy finds inspiration by taking simple ingredients transforming them into amazing desserts, a skill that will be showcased in our restaurants, weddings, and special events.
