Holiday Stroll Festivities at the St. James

The Red Wing Holiday Stroll is celebrating 20 years this year and we’re happy to be a part of the celebration. As you’re walking downtown, don’t forget to stop by the St. James Hotel. We’re participating in the Christmas Movie Window Display, hosting the Gingerbread House Contest and more. Listed below are activities and happenings at the St. James during the Holiday Stroll.

Festival of Wreaths
Beautiful tablescapes, holiday arrangements wreaths and holiday baskets will be on display on the Mezzanine Level. Sponsored by ArtReach. If you would like to donate, please contact Anna Ostendorf at info@artreachredwing.org.
Gandy Dancer Train Display
An annual tradition. This model train exhibit is for children and adults to enjoy and free to view. Jump onboard this season! Located on the 3rd floor of the St. James. To access the Gandy Dancer Train Display, please use the courtyard elevators up to level 3.
Red Wing Holiday Stroll Viewing Hours | November 26, 2021 from 4 pm – 8 pm
Hours | Saturdays only starting on November 27, 2021 to December 18, 2021 from 12 pm – 4 pm
Gingerbread House Contest and Display & Holiday Stroll Poster Display
Gumdrop buttons, windows made of icing, marshmallow snowmen, and candy cane walkways. It’s not the Holidays without making gingerbread houses. We’re hosting the Holiday Stroll Gingerbread Contest and display and selling gingerbread kits for the contest. Join the fun and get creative.
We’re selling gingerbread house kits for $15. Purchase and pick-up at Scarlet Kitchen & Bar during restaurant hours beginning November 1. Drop off your completed gingerbread house on November 24 from 1 pm – 6 pm at the St. James to participate. Contest is sectioned by three age groups and the selected winner from each age group will receive a prize!
Also view posters from Holiday Strolls’ past. Both displays will be located in the courtyard near the west end entrance.
Carolers in the Courtyard
Sing along to your favorite holiday song. Join carolers in the courtyard to ring in the start of the Holiday Season with a carol or two.
Scarlet Kitchen & Bar
Scarlet Kitchen & Bar will be open from 7 am – 10 pm. Serving brunch until 2 pm and featured menu item, Ghosts of Holidays past: turkey pot pie with wild rice stuffing crust from 2 pm – 10 pm. Limited menu will also be available from 2 pm – 10 pm. Holiday cocktails available.
The Port
The Port will be open from 4 pm – midnight. Swing by for a cap after the Holiday Stroll parade.
